The Millenium Technology Prize is a Finnish award designed "to improve the quality of life and to promote sustainable development-oriented research, development and innovation." It's awarded every two years. Sir Tim Berners-Lee won the prize in 2004. The 2012 Grand Prize winner will be announced on June 13 in Helsinki, Finland.
